This procedure can be used alone or with another cosmetic treatment, like a dermal filler or chemical peel, for more remarkable results. At your initial consultation, we will assess your skin and create a custom treatment plan to fit your needs and cosmetic goals.
How Does Microdermabrasion Work?
Microdermabrasion treatments are performed at our office after a consultation to decide what services will give you the best results. For the treatment, you will relax in a treatment chair as your face is prepared and cleaned. The microdermabrasion handpiece will run along your skin as it exfoliates and vacuums the crystals and dead skin. While the process may feel odd, it should not be uncomfortable so you shouldn't need a local anesthetic or numbing cream. The microdermabrasion will be applied evenly over the areas required but with extra caution in delicate areas, like around the eyes. Once the treatment is complete, your skin will be lightly cleansed to remove any leftover debris before a moisturizer, chosen for your skin's needs with sun protection, is massaged into the skin.
