How Is Blepharoplasty Performed?
Depending on the complexity of the eyelid surgery, some form of anesthesia will be provided. This procedure may be done on the top eyelid by itself, on the bottom eyelid, or a blend of both the upper and lower:
- Upper: Upper eyelid surgery assists in decreasing the loose skin that impairs vision to produce a more flattering look. The incision point is often placed along the lid crease to trim away loose skin and fatty tissue.
- Lower: Lower bleph improves bulging, bloated skin underneath the lower eyelid. The incision is placed below the lash line to surgically remove tissue and fat, and the skin is subtly lifted to produce a smoother look. In some cases, a nonsurgical laser procedure can be incorporated to help with discoloration while injectable fillers can be used for more volume and smoothness if desired.

This is a great dermatologist. Highly recommended. I had 2 moles removed by Dr. Sandhu, and he did a fantastic job, especially for both moles being on my head. I also received 2 separate courtesy calls from his office to check if the healing of them were going well. If I ever have a similar need I will definitely be going back to him.
